The odd trajectory of Watchtower fulfillment of prophecy

when you were a believer, did you ever find it odd that the further we get into the "last days" fewer and fewer bible prophecies are being fulfilled?.

for example, as jws we learned that lots of prophecies were fulfilled during the wwi time period--satan being cast out of heaven, gentile times ending, jesus enthroned as king, then the inspection of religions in 1918 and the appointment of the wts 'over all his belongings' in 1919. also, the two witnesses of revelation were resurrected in 1919, and the 1260, 1335, and 2300 days of daniel were fulfilled by various wt articles during the 1920s and 30s.

further, the 7 trumpet blasts of revelation sounded in the 1920s at 7 district conventions.

Remember they can always use the new light policy at any time they want to cover their asses.

Mostly how this all works is through fear, because the proclamation that this organization is the true voice of god

people will blindly accept any new information that was not understood clearly before.

Its very much like little birds in a nest with their mouths wide open to receive what ever spiritual food the mother bird brings them.

Thats simply how this publishing house works.

Occasionally some of the spiritual food spread on the table goes bad and it has to be taken off.

I can't quite remember where in the bible it states that the true Christian followers should set up a corporation with the sole

purposes to sell the gospel and to for the spiritual overseers to live off the proceeds from those sales.

Added too where it states to also proselytized specific select dates or years of coming events.

Perhaps I just need to reread my bible again, I must've missed those scriptures.

But Ted Jancz said that the society doesn't go beyond what is written in the bible.....ummmm who to believe.

Wasn't lying for the organization described as an act of spiritual warfare and therefore approved by the organization.

I guess thats what he was doing.

They're just chief marketing executives for the WTS. and financial advisers.

Their most important role is to keep a constant illusion up and going in front of the public that this

organization is really and truly god's only solemn organization, they have the printing presses available

to them to accomplish this task .

It's worked for them for the past 100 years, maybe a few more, who knows.

they have made a full commitment to Jehovah in their lives

Pure adulterated bullshit , they have made a standing commitment to themselves and this organization which

has now elevated themselves to a higher and predominate stature, complete with all the staying perks and

a much better lifestyle. You can be assured they will be bringing out new light to keep all of this going,

just as their predecessors have done before them.

Can you comprehend this assertion Reniaa.

I think a lot of grade school children can figure this out without much of a problem.

If the WTS is not structured with a secret society within itself, why is it they never have shown their financial standings from year to year ?

i recall that when the watch tower society purchased a former motion picture theatre in queens, new york, for use as an assembly hall, the theatre had an ancient egyptian motif throughout.

over the marquee, the front of the building had large tiles depicting various egyptian gods and goddesses, one even carrying the crux ansata.

Funny how this just reminded me of a more recent situation involving the UN , it appears the organization ( the business end )

has laid out rules for the following which they themselves don't necessarily have to abide to themselves,

well at least until they get called out. There is a running hypocrisy involving this organization , that most JWS aren't even

aware of. That pronouncement and proclamation that this truly is god's only earthly organization must really

put a big white sheet over themselves, proof that mental indoctrination does wonderful things when its done right !

Would you rather see the WTS move mainstream or just collapse in a heap?

maybe eventually the wts will adapt and change and try to go mainstream.. as 'new shite' shines brightly then;.

maybe eventually celebrating birthdays and even christmas will be 'allowed' without too many repercussions.. maybe eventually the 'blood' issue will fade away and 'brothers' wil be allowed the whole lot of fractions together at the same time.. maybe eventually disfellowshipping and particularly shunning will be seen as unloving and done away with.. personally i would rather this wouldn't happen.. i would prefer to see the wts collapse in the mire even with all the emotional fallout there would be to those still in having their crutches pulled away from them.. i don't want the wts to modify and adapt and go more gentle on the rank and file.. i want them to get more harsh with the brothers.. i want it to go down, not along.. am i being too cruel to those still in?.

would the more loving caring attitude be to hope that the wts changes for the better?.

Great suggestion St Ann,

Perhaps a large monetary sum given out to people's families that lost their family members due to not

taking blood transfusions. That would be nice.

I myself would become a recipient due to my own mothers premature death.
